Check out the latest video from FresYES Productions on project S.U.C.C.E.S.S. from the Youth Engagement Team.

The S.U.C.C.E.S.S project is an effort of the BHC YET team and stands for Students United to Create a Climate of Engagement, Support, and Safety. The project empowers students to partner with schools and communities to develop comprehensive and sustainable strategies for engagement, support, and safety at school.

Our goal is to ensure equal learning opportunities for all students in the Fresno Unified School District through creating healthy school climates that support positive youth development. This is important because positive school climate promotes student learning, academic achievement, school success, as well as risk prevention and positive youth development.

With their adult partners, youth involved with the SUCCESS project acquire leadership skills in the ares as of action planning, research and analysis, student and community organizing, policy design and advocacy. Drawing on their experiences as students, youth identify issues they face and work to craft the most relevant solutions to create healthier schools.
